- I'd assume it's "link," which is a generally kind of computery word (see: Hyperlinq, which is a pun on these things), spelled with a q to make it look kewl. I don't think there's ever been any official word though. --Andrusi 09:39, 19 January 2012 (EST)
- IIRC, there was some untold backstory where his name was originally Uplin(k/q), then he became Apelinq, and then eventually Hyperlinq.
