The Transformers cartoon
- Voice actor: Michael Bell or Frank Welker (English), Keiichi Nanba (Japanese)

When the Junkions attacked the Autobots stranded on their planet, Re-Cycle worked with Rubbish to capture Blurr. Keeping up at the Autobot's right side, he threw a net over him to his partner on the other flank. Blurr broke through the net, but this didn't discourage either of his attackers, or the rest of their tribe.
Fortunately for the Autobots, Hot Rod's party found its way to the battle. Hot Rod offered the universal greeting and an energon goodie to the Junkions, which convinced them that the Autobots were not enemies. The two groups spontaneously began to celebrate their newly formed alliance, towards the end of which Re-Cycle gave Grimlock a kiss on his snout. This produced confusing feelings in Grimlock. Notes
- Re-Cycle was never named in any fiction; his name (and the names of many other Junkions) comes from character designer's notes, revealed in Transformers: The Complete Ark.
- Re-Cycle is one of the movie's "extra" Junkions, whose designs were mostly a mix and match of each other's parts. In Re-Cycle's case, his chest, legs and forearms are based on Scrapheap's and therefore share similarities with Rubbish's and Trashbin's. The forearms in particular stand out, because he's the only one of the four without a wheel shield on his character model, yet his animated self is almost always drawn with it anyway.
Recolors
Re-Cycle's basic body type is shared by many Junkions, some in colors similar-or-identical to his own, others... not so much.
