Talk:Re-Cycle

I'm not totally against having a close-up of Re-Cycle cropped out of the wide shot. I do think it's an unnecessary extra file, since the group shot is pretty clear, and due to the nature of all the other Junkion pages, it feels uneven to only crop him out of it. I realize that's just me being OCD, so I'm not going to push the issue. But if we DO do it, we should at least use the super-clear shot we have of him already, just cropped, instead of the relatively fuzzy, overexposed screencap we had momentarily. --ItsWalky 00:07, 18 November 2010 (EST)

I don't think there's a problem with having cropped and uncropped versions of the same picture on the wiki in this case, because they're doing different things (illustrating a crowd of Junkions versus illustrating single characters) and using the larger group shot on character pages like that ends up with individual characters being too small to see in the thumbnail. You can just click on the group shot to make it bigger, of course, so I don't mind if we stick with the one image. --abates 00:25, 18 November 2010 (EST)

This was was a lot of work. The character models for the Junkions in The Ark are very preliminary. They were later re-drawn with more details and dimensionality (and fixed head designs in some cases.) Jim can't get those models, though they did appear in TF: Generations (about 3/4" tall.) Re-Cycle's was such a bad likeness I had to blow up the Generations one and trace it.  :(

And now, predictably... I am unable to find the Re-Cycle recolor I know is in the movie. Aarugh. -Derik 23:30, 29 January 2012 (EST)
