Talk:Axalon (BW)
"It is unknown whether the Maximals were ever able to fully remove its wreckage or if the remails still lie burried somewhere on Earth." the Axalon wreckage was still there in Primeval Dawn so I would consider re-writing this.
Should "Axalon" redirect directly to the BW ship? There was an an Axalon in Armada - I think it was the ship the Autobots chased the Hydra Cannon ship with. --Monzo 19:49, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yes. If they want the Armada one, they should click the disambiguation tag at the top. 99% of people who type in Axalon want the Beast Wars version. Axalon would only link to the disambiguation page if both uses of the name were equally prominent. --ItsWalky 20:14, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, it should. There are only two Axalons. In cases where there are only two instances of a name, a disambiguation page is not needed unless it's really, really hard to pick which one is more prominent. The Axalon (BW) page starts with a disambig notice linking to the (currently empty) UT Axalon page. That's the proper format. --Steve-o 20:16, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- There was actually two cutaways of the Axalon- made from the same drawing, but with different point-outs. I've got one of 'em in a book somewhere. -Derik 22:09, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- Anyone else notice that the Axalon was destroyed in the same episode that introduced a body for Optimus that wouldn't be able to fit through the door? Betsumei 04:17, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- I was also thinking that. Wonder where he would have slept if they had saved it. -- SFH 04:18, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Impact?
I was just re-watching Beast Wars Part 1 just now, and I noticed something. The Axalon entered its collision course with Earth falling backwards, but at its crash site, it becomes obvious it crashed face-first. Is this a goof? --Detour 22:22, 17 December 2009 (EST)
- Seriously, anyone? Is this not worthy of discussing? --Detour 00:16, 21 December 2009 (EST)
- Well, if you're going to be a jerk about it, sure, let me pull out my damn DVDS. Considering the last thing the Axalon was doing before it hit the atmosphere was spinning around so it could shoot at the Predacon ship, I'm not really surprised it was pointing in a different direction after falling several hundred miles. --ItsWalky 00:23, 21 December 2009 (EST)
- Pretty sure the gravity pull upon entering the atmosphere would've put a stop to the spinning, what with physics and all coming into play. Plus, during entry, neither ship is spinning any longer. And yeah, the Axalon is definitely facing backwards... which makes the position it crashed in pretty much impossible. --Detour 00:34, 21 December 2009 (EST)
- Physics in Beast Wars must work differently, because we can see the Ark spinning as it crash-lands in Agenda part 3. --ItsWalky 00:47, 21 December 2009 (EST)
- I just have Season 1 thanks to Alliance Atlantis not bothering with the rest. Can't verify that. --Detour 00:53, 21 December 2009 (EST)

- Sure doesn't match the Ark's crashes in either G1 comic or G1 toon. But in any case, we SAW the Axalon go down in a straight line, not spinning. It couldn't have crashed until it hit two rock formations and left the nose area dangling near a cliff if it had fallen backwards. --Detour 01:11, 21 December 2009 (EST)

- Impossible physics? In Transformers?!? MADNESS. --KilMichaelMcC 01:04, 21 December 2009 (EST)
- Seriously? I mean, I've seen car accidents where all participants wound up in really unexpected positions. How can we say what is and isn't possible in a collision from orbit where we don't really know the hardness of the ground or the distribution of weight in the craft. --Jimsorenson 01:52, 21 December 2009 (EST)

United
So wait... is the United toy supposed to be the Axalon? -Derik 10:44, 11 October 2011 (EDT)
- With a big molded Decepticon logo? Color me skeptical. --ItsWalky 10:45, 11 October 2011 (EDT)
- a) It's Japan, I wouldn't put it past them. They've apparently decided that Unicron's tank mode is the Ark.
- b) Stock photos w/ Sharkticon's coloring. Who knows what final productō will look like? -Derik 10:50, 11 October 2011 (EDT)
- Why don't we just wait till we can read their bios? Why jump the gun on this? --Jimsorenson 11:01, 11 October 2011 (EDT)
- Jump the tank. Megatron isn't allowed to be a gun anymore. -Derik 11:02, 11 October 2011 (EDT)
- Upon further reflection I believe jump the shark would actually be the correct phrase to use. -Derik 11:04, 11 October 2011 (EDT)
- Sharkticon doesn't have a molded logo. This toy is released in the same wave as Megatron and Primal, so I think it's a fair assumption to make for now. —Interrobang 11:11, 11 October 2011 (EDT)
- It's also released in a wave with Cybertron Unicron relabeled "Ark Unicron", so... --Detour 14:53, 11 October 2011 (EDT)

- When news spread throughout the vast universe that Unicron had returned to the material plane, people began to fear and despair. Optimus Primal and his crew attempted to battle Ark Unicron, but his power was too mighty. After being forced into this dilemma, the hull of the Autobot Spaceship "Axalon" emitted flashes of blue light, the mass evolving into a super robot lifeform. A new soul was held in the Axalon; with it, the Autobot Army harbored hope in their confrontation with Ark Unicron.
- It really needs a check by a competent translator, but yeah. —Interrobang 01:34, 25 February 2012 (EST)
When the news that Unicron had managed to resurrect within the physical world became known across the vast universe, every being was inflicted with panic and despair. Optimus Primal and his crew stood against Ark Unicron in order to take it down, but were helpless against its mighty power and were crushed. When they were driven into this predicament, the hull of the Autobot Spaceship "Axalon" glowed blue, lifted up its bulk, and was transformed into a Super-Robot Lifeform. The newly ensouled Axalon is entrusted with the Autobot army's hopes to oppose Ark Unicron.
- It says "Optimus Primal-tachi", which probably just means "Optimus Primal and his crew", but depending on the context could mean "Optimus Primals".
- Helpless against is literally "at their wit's end against".
- Blue or green.
- lit. "Axalon that has newly concieved a soul"
Basically you got the gist of it, yeah. Certainly enough to write an accurate article.192.249.47.177 13:59, 7 March 2012 (EST)
Manga
Does the Axalon show up in the Metals manga? I mean, I presume it does, but... --ItsWalky 21:59, 11 October 2011 (EDT)
- Not the first issue, at least. —Interrobang 04:46, 12 October 2011 (EDT)
