This article is about the Beast Wars unit of time. For the Generation 2 motorbikes, see Laser Cycle.

A cycle is a Cybertronian unit of time, most commonly heard during the Beast Era. It has many derivations (such as 'megacycle') to indicate multiples of fractions thereof.

One of the Beast Wars head writers said that a cycle was about a minute in Earth terms. However, a megacycle is nowhere near a million times that, as that would be almost two years.
