When Huxley Prescott left his SETI dish on maximum, the power drain threatened to overload the power plant, potentially destroying half the island. The Burns family reached the power plant to investigate the blackout that had plunged the town into darkness, and found themselves trapped in the building when the power outage affected the electronic doors.
