John Gordon is one of the Autobots' human allies on Earth. He and his younger brother Tim are both physicists and geographical experts.

Fiction

The Battle for Planet Earth

John and Tim accompanied the Autobots on an energy-seeking mission to South America, where they spotted Mount Sheela. Though John pointed out that humans hadn't managed to harness the power of volcanoes, Optimus Prime believed the Autobots could, and they went up the mountain for a closer look. John and Tim both became nervous that the volcano was likely to erupt soon, and when the Decepticons arrived for a battle, things seemed to get worse. When Optimus refused to back down from the fight, John gave an impassioned speech which finally persuaded him, and the Autobots moved down the mountain in time to avoid the eruption. Optimus thanked the two humans, and they continued on their way while the Decepticons were trapped by the lava. Terror of Mount Sheela
