Inhibitor/deterrence chip

The inhibitor/deterrence chip (I/D chip for short) is an evolution of the deterrence chip. While containing the deterring and explosive power of the previous chip, it also possess the ability to inhibit the recipient's alternate mode and weaponry.

Skywarp's I/D chip was revealed to be defectuous by Starscream. Ratbat also implied that Skywarp's wasn't the only Decepticon in such case. The World & Everything in It Prowl was apparently unaware of this as he threatened some advancing Constructicons that he was going to detonate their chips. However, Prowl had a override code from Wheeljack and used it and detonated all the Constructicons instantly.Devisive
