When Epps rang around the people he knew to find those willing to venture into Decepticon-occupied Chicago with him, Stackhouse was one of the few who answered. When they arrived at the city outskirts, Stackhouse noted that the Decepticons were jamming communications citywide. Though the mercs were reluctant to go in, the arrival of the Autobots and Sam Witwicky's determination led them to enter the city. After Sam rescued his girlfriend Carly, Stackhouse and the rest of the mercs ventured up into the Galileo Building so they could try to use their single rocket to take out the space bridge control pillar. During their second attempt to get off a shot, Stackhouse and Tiny tried to help steady Hardcore Eddie so he could take the shot, only for the Driller to hit the building. After barely escaping with their lives, Epps, Stackhouse and the mercs met up with Colonel Lennox's NEST team and helped them attack the Decepticons. Dark of the Moon (novel)
