When was Pharma Infected?

Not sure if this is a continuity error, but it isn't clear when Pharma was infected by the Red Rust. The story implies it wasn't until he stood in Ratchet's leaky rust during their final confrontation, but if that's the case then why did Pharma refuse to transform into jet mode when Ratchet demanded? If he was uninfected at that time then he should have had no reason not to. Excise 23:09, 26 May 2012 (EDT)

Roberts actually replied to this on the IDW forums, don't have the link handy. He didn't have time to go from the quarantine to his hidey hole to check to see if he was infected or not, and he still had to free Sonic and Boom.
