Inhibitor/deterrence chip

The inhibitor/deterrence chip (I/D chip for short) is an evolution of the deterrence chip. While containing the deterring and explosive power of the previous chip, it also possess the ability to inhibit the recipient's alternate mode and weaponry.

While in their state of confusion and weakness after being part of the Deceptigod, the Decepticons were outfitted with I/D chips and jailed in the barrel of the crashed Kimia Facility. The Death of Optimus Prime Bumblebee detonated Horri-Bull's chip after he was caught beating Zetca, thus ending his life. The Autonomy Lesson

Skywarp's I/D chip was revealed to be defective by Starscream. Ratbat also implied that Skywarp's wasn't the only Decepticon in such case. The World & Everything in It Prowl was unaware of this, as he threatened some advancing Constructicons that he was going to detonate their chips. Regardless, Prowl had an override code from Wheeljack and used it to kill all of the Constructicons. Devisive Ironhide addressed as a first step to a better future between Autobot and Decepticon that Bumblebee should deactivate the chips. A Better Tomorrow
