A team of Autobots led by Optimus Prime escorted a convoy of tankers carrying superfuel given to the Autobots by the government for testing. Prowl's security measures were not successful in keeping the operation a secret from the Decepticons. Megatron and the Coneheads attacked, but the convoy was able to escape by taking advantage of terrain features that made pursuit difficult for the airborne Decepticons. The incident motivated Megatron to create ground vehicle allies, which resulted in the Stunticons. The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 1
