The name or term Ramjet refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Ramjet (disambiguation).
Ramjet is a Decepticon from the Transformers Animated continuity family.
"No clone army..." "...definitely no clone army..." "...absolutely no clone army in this show!"

Ramjet, the Liar Starscream, is the dishonesty based clone of original Starscream.

What? We never said he was the original Starscream.

He seems to be completely against telling the truth. Nothing he ever says is completely true. Whatever he says to anyone, ally or enemy, completely contradicts everything he said previously.

I'm not down! I can escape any time I want to! I... just don't want to.

—Ramjet after getting stasis cuffed by Prowl, "A Bridge Too Close, Part II"

"Argument is an intellectual process. Contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of any statement the other person makes."
"No it isn't."
"It is."
"Not at all."

Ramjet at first tried to assert that he was the original Starscream, then denied he said that, then denied that he was a liar when Slipstream called him a liar. A Bridge Too Close, Part I.

Ramjet managed to do fairly well in the space bridge battle. He told his Autobot targets that he wasn't about to shoot them. He was trapped by Prowl in a pair of stasis cuffs, and after that happened he was helped to escape by the Sycophant, and denied that any of this occurred. When Omega Supreme came on the scene, Ramjet tried to tell the giant his stabilizing servo was unbolted. Omega ignored him and not promptly kicked the clone a few miles away. A Bridge Too Close, Part II

Later, he helped a stasis-cuffed Lugnut out of his plight with the Autobots. The clone wasn't being completely honest when he promised not to tell Megatron about Lugnut's humiliating failure. Three's a Crowd

"Your middle name's Judas, but you tell everyone that it's Jonathan."

Long after that, Lockdown captured the "disarmed and helpless" Liar for Sentinel Prime in exchange for a gyro-stabilizer. However, Lockdown double-crossed Sentinel when Ramjet offered the bounty hunter a better deal earlier. Ramjet broke free and stasis cuffed the Autobot on the spot. As Ramjet tried to get away with his defenseless victim, he was knocked out of the sky by Jetfire and Jetstorm, who were accompanied by Optimus Prime and Jazz. And yet, the battle still tipped in Ramjet's favor when he used Sentinel as a shield against their attacks. Ramjet tried to escape again, but Optimus covered his face with foam. He dropped Sentinel head-first into the ground. After Safeguard blasted him out of the sky with a fireball, Optimus and Jazz pushed a scoreboard on top of him. Ramjet was stasis cuffed and hauled into custody. Five Servos of Doom

New helmet? What are you talking about?

Later, Sentinel Prime steered his ship through a stormy nebula. It unfortunately revived Swindle, who was still immobilized from his own slow-down ray. From there, Swindle freed and re-armed Ramjet along with the other captured Decepticons. Swindle also gave Sunstorm and Ramjet strangely familiar helmets to tell them apart. Afterwards, Ramjet and the Decepticons manhandled the Elite Guard. They managed to capture them before Sentinel sent a coded SOS to Optimus Prime. Fortunately, Optimus appeared out of Swindle's chest, and sent Ramjet and the other Decepticons into chaos. The battle eventually spilled out of the ship, where Jetstorm somehow bombarded him with a tornado. Ramjet was also present when Blitzwing captureed the Autobots and tried to freeze them in the decontamination unit. He was frozen when Jazz booby-trapped the decontamination unit. He ultimately was re-captured and sent to Cybertron, where he was paraded around with the jubilant Sentinel.Decepticon Air

The Uncool comic

I've never been in any fancy Japanese comic books! What are you talking about!?

Ramjet joined the rest of the Clone Army in battle for the Decepticon Space Bridge. He was shocked when Optimus Prime and Megatron joined forces to stop him! The Cool Episode 7

Ramjet later got wiped out by Omega Supreme in an effort to dsetroy him under Megatron's orders. The Cool Episode 8

Toys

Animated

This is always how I envisioned what my first toy would be like.
  • Ramjet Clear White Version (EZ Collection, 2010)
A redeco of a Legends Starscream with no opaque white parts. He was only available at Ito Yokado stores in Japan, given away for free to customers who purchased Animated merchandise totaling at least 3,000 yen on July 24th.
This mold was used to make Starscream Clear Purple Version, Thundercracker Clear Blue Version, Skywarp Clear Purple Version, Sunstorm Clear Orange Version, and Starscream Clone Black Version

At long last! Slipstream finally has a toy!
  • Ramjet (Activator, 2010)
Ramjet is a redeco of Activators Starscream or an exclusive "second chance" prize in a Transformers-themed raffle held by Family Mart stores across Japan. He could have been purchased through the mail with a combination of winning E, F and G prize tickets and 2,500 yen. He transforms into a futuristic jet with an autotransformation gimmick, which would let him transform from vehicle to robot at the press of a button.
This mold was used to make Dirge, Thundercracker and Skywarp.

Important information

He isn't angry at Hasbro, he is not about to fire at them.
  • Ramjet's colors are not completely original. They have something to do with Generation 1 Ramjet. He has the same burgundy wings and white helmet. He was finally called "Ramjet" in The AllSpark Almanac,. Also, the name "Liar Starscream" was on his character model sheet.

  • Ramjet's nosecone is extremely reinforced. It can survive any midair collisions.
