This link and page header may very well change. But we have TWO "Classics" in TFs now... the early-90 Euro re-release line, and now apparently everything post-Cyb-pre-Movie (since the Mini-Cons are now officially being labelled as such). "Classics (1991)" and "Classics (2006)"? --M Sipher 17:32, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Works for me.--ItsWalky 17:56, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Except for the fact that the European Classics started in 1990 if the Hartman's TS Archive is correct. --FortMax 20:08, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Basically the new Classics seems like it's gonna be a "Greatest Hits" line now I think. A bunch of homages to and continuations of everything from G1 to Cyb. thrown together till the movie comes along.

Powerglide

Yes, I know that the redeco was originally meant to be Powerglide. But I doubt that he's still considered to be, after the name change. --ItsWalky 14:59, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

In fact, Fireflight's packaging gives him Fireflight's function. He's Fireflight now, despite his origins. --ItsWalky 15:10, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Inclusion?

Should the "Classics" releases of G1 Soundwave and 20th Prime be included/listed here as well? I lean towards yes, since they are in the Classics packaging (with Classics crosssells) and Hasbro seems to be including everything post Cybertron as Classics. Opinions? Technically, yeah. -hx 18:05, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

What about the Japanese Repaints? - Some Random IP Person

Not enough information about them yet, and I assume we haven't decided on if they'll be Classics or a new line. Oh, and please sign your posts so we don't confuse posts made by people with no accounts to with people who have accounts. --FFN 06:52, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

classics DVD packs in europe

i don't know if that was in all of europe, but here in belgium, they sold(from all that i know limeted to these toys) cliffjumper, grimlock, ramjet, mirage and astrotrain with the DVD the return of megatron, with 5 episodes of transformers energon(yes, every toy was sold with the exact same DVD). the also released the same toys over again with another DVD, but i can't remember what it was actualy about because i got all the toys they packed with the the return of megatron DVD.(i'm not buying the same toy again for this.) should this be noted in the classics subline as trivia? --Grand-majin 22:16, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Manga

Fair warning: According to a blurb on Takara's new "Henkei! Henkei! Transformers" page, there's going to be a manga for the toy line running in TV Magazine. It wasn't in the February issue, which I just got a week ago, so it may start with the March issue. (My copies don't arrive until almost a month after they come out in Japan, so someone may already have the March issue and be able to confirm.)--Apcog 16:57, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Addendum: Pictures of Skyglide, the recolored Mini-Con offered as a campaign item in conjunction with the line, are now up as well.--Apcog 17:02, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I was wondering what to do with that. I had no idea if that was Powerglide's Japanese name, or if he needs a new page. --ItsWalky 17:04, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
It's a minicon. I'm sure the mere fact that it exists will summon Sipher.--RosicrucianTalk 17:05, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
I already put a notice about it on Sipher's Talk page a little while ago, leaving nothing to chance. Powerglide has always been "Powerglide" in Japan, IIRC. This is an homage, but, for the moment, it's a new character. It MIGHT be retconned into a new body for Powerglide, though. If it gets any character info, it'll probably be in TV Magazine.--Apcog 17:10, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Addendum Two: Another page on the site indicates that manga will also be included with the toys, a la the Japanese G2 releases.--Apcog 17:09, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Henkei

We're definately considering Henkei! Henkei whatever as just Japanese classics right? So no need for them to go under their own sub-heading in toy sections? --FFN 16:18, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Tankor

it would be keeping inline with everything else if the actual name of the toy came first and then the note what it was originally based on/intended to be OctaneGspro15198 17:12, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Which would be nice if you had used correct capitalisation and spacing in your edit. --FFN 17:20, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Oops meant to hit preview before save page there. My bad Gspro15198 17:26, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
