Inhibitor/deterrence chip

The inhibitor/deterrence chip (I/D chip for short) is an evolution of the deterrence chip. While containing the deterring and explosive power of the previous chip, it also possess the ability to inhibit the recipient's alternate mode and weaponry.

While in their state of confusion and weakness after being part of the Deceptigod, the Decepticons were outfitted with I/D chips and jailed in the barrel of the crashed Kimia Facility. Under orders from Ratbat, Soundwave, Shockwave and possibly Bombshell managed to deactivate the I/D chips. They kept it secret from the Autobots, though Starscream leaked information that Skywarp's chip no longer worked. The World & Everything in It Prowl later learned from Bombshell that all of the I/D chips were blocked in the tunnels beneath Cybertron, but he had an override code from Wheeljack that he could use to effortlessly reactivate them. Using this method, he killed the Constructicons by detonating their chips while they were threatening him. Devisive Under pressure from Metalhawk and Ironhide, who both wanted to put the war behind them and take the first step to a better future for both Autobots and Decepticons, Bumblebee eventually agreed to turn off all the I/D chips for good.
