The name or term "Brimstone" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Brimstone (disambiguation).
Brimstone is a Decepticon from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Brimstone is a fearsome and ancient Transformer. So dangerous was he that the ancients entrapped his personality component, the Heart of the Dragon, in an urn.

Fiction

Wings Universe

In ancient times, Brimstone attacked the city Hyperious and Mount Helix, his flame leaving "death and blackness" everywhere it touched. After a battle, Brimstone was eventually defeated. The ancients removed his personality component and placed it in a huge urn, which was located in the city of Median, and which was inscribed with dire warnings. Many years later, the "Heart of the Dragon" was found by an Autobot archeological team.

Unfortunately Rage and his band of Decepticons found out about it, and stole the contents of the urn. Rage had it placed in a small dragon body as an initial test. Despite his size, Brimstone's flame breath was capable of completely disintegrating anything it touched, and both the Combaticons and Metalhawk's Elite Guard squad were forced to retreat under his onslaught. They hit Brimstone with Ironfist's entire stock of explosive, but the dragon emerged from the explosion intact. All was not lost for the Elite Guard—the diminutive body housing Brimstone was insufficient to contain the Decepticon's energies. The Autobots escaped from the Metrotitan before Brimstone reached critical and exploded, taking out the entire structure and Rage's forces as well. Flames of Yesterday

  • Mini-Con Class 12 Pack (Multi-pack, 2008)
    • Series: Armada Series
Brimstone was repurposed from Universe Brimstone, who was a Mini-Con in the "Armada Series". Brimstone is a redeco of Classics Nightscream, in sludge green and off yellow, transforming into a winged dragon. He was originally available only as part of a K-Mart exclusive twelve-pack along with Backstop, Blight, Bodyblock, Boltflash, Cloudraker, Flatfoot, Heavytread, Knockdown, Makeshift, Skyhammer, and Suppressor.
This mold was also used to make Dragoyell.
  • Brimstone (Mini-Con, 2009)
Brimstone was also sold on an individual card in the US, first through discount chains like Big Lots! and then as part of the holiday toy stock up at Shop and Stop and Family Dollar. This release is identical to the multi-pack version.
  • Brimstone (Mini-Con w/ candy, 2010)
In the UK, all twelve Mini-Cons from the original "Mini-Con Class 12 Pack" set were released in individual blind-packed bags with "energon fizzy sweets" candies, distributed by The Little Factory Ltd. Though all of these Mini-Cons are actually new molds with numerous tiny differences from the originals, Brimstone is one of the few toys with a major change; this version is cast in much brighter, more primary shades of green. His paint operations, however, use the same desaturated shades of green as the original.
