Many Generation 1 toys have been released under different names in different markets.

A black cell indicates that a toy has not been released in this market, or at least has not been confirmed having been released in this market thus far.
A green cell highlights that the toy's name in this market is identical to the standard US name (even though it might be officially rendered in a non-Roman character set).
Japanese names are listed as follows: Katakana spelling (direct romanization, "intended name if different")
Official English spelling of name

US name (Hasbro) French Canadian name (Hasbro) Greek name (El Greco) Italian name (GiG) Japanese name (Takara)
Optimus Prime Optimus Primo[1] Commander[2] コンボイ[3] (Konboi, "Convoy")
Megatron Megatron[1] メガトロン[4] (Megatoron, "Megatron")
