S.2 (エスツー esutsū) is the Arms Micron partner of Smokescreen. He's a copycat, did you know?

Part of the eighth wave of TakaraTomy Prime toys, S.2 is available only with his larger partner, Smokescreen. He comes as an unassembled, unpainted "kit", using stickers for detail, and transforms from a humanoid robot into a crossbow. S.2 features two 5mm posts and a single peg-hole as part of the Arms Micron gimmick, allowing him to combine with other Microns to form bigger and more ridiculous "Combo Weapons" and "Super Combo Weapons".

According to several Japanese blogs, the assembly instructions contain a minor error. The two rods connecting the backpack to the main body have a bulge in the middle, if one follows the instructions, the wings and the backpack end up on either side. For a better working result, the wings and the backpack must be on the same side, the bulge then acts like a separator between the backpack and the main body.

Notes

• You may have guessed it already, but S.2 copies B.2's naming style, with Smokescreen instead of Bumblebee
• He also shares his Micron ID number with Shining R.A..
• Want more proof? He looks remarkably like Generation 1 Devcon in overall design, especially the head and right arm with the laser.
