Talk:Central City (Earth)
It occurs to me that Central City, being demonstrably close to Autobot Headquarters, might be the very same city seen in Transport to Oblivion, The Immobilizer, and any other time when the Autobots casually go "into town". I seriously doubt the writers had it in mind, but... how many other major cities can there be close to this active volcano? Wheeljack says "run into town", which basically implies one town. -- Repowers 23:23, 16 December 2009 (EST)
- I like this idea a lot.--76.167.228.223 23:43, 16 December 2009 (EST)

Combining of G1 article and Armada
It appears as though there are 3 articles on Central City which covers 4 continuities. 2 of these continuities cover a city on Earth, the other two cover a city on Cybertron. Either 4 articles could be created (one for each continuity) or 2 articles could be created (one for each planet). The former option contradicts the notion of placing multiple continuities on a page. Therefore, I recommend that the G1 and the Armada articles be combined to form one article; as well as a renaming of the Central City (Energon) article.
- Location articles often have multiple continuities listed on them. My personal preference would be to have Central City (Cybertronian) and Central City (Earth). --Khajidha 20:31, 8 August 2010 (EDT)
- Done. Now, what about Center City? I feel it is the same, the difference being no more significant than Kaon vs Chaon or Tagan vs Tagon or Mithril vs Mithric. --Khajidha 13:16, 24 October 2010 (EDT)
- Article needs more work though - the "associated characters"/"notable locations" sections are G1 only stuff, but there's nothing making that clear in the article itself. --abates 07:17, 25 October 2010 (EDT)
- Agreed, but it really should have had notes identifying the source of the material before I merged it. Are all of these from Megatron's Master Plan? If so, are they all in both episodes or are some only from one or the other? Also, can we assume that later instances of the Autobots in town are in Central City or are we limited to only those identified as Central City? --Khajidha 08:33, 25 October 2010 (EDT)
- The mayor can be split from the article, me thinks, so that would solve one part of the problem. And I think that information about Central City should stay limited to what is confirmed or heavily implied as Central City. Geewunling 10:09, 25 October 2010 (EDT)
- The City Hall might be better on the Mayor's page. I'm inclined to agree about the "confirmed or heavily implied" but wanted to examine the options before making final decisions. --Khajidha 10:14, 25 October 2010 (EDT)
- Probably should mention the suggestion I made to merge Center City here, too. --Khajidha 10:17, 25 October 2010 (EDT)
- While Central City and Center City are identical enough in name and description to be alike, my problem is that the FYF books are solely shown to take inspiration from the Marvel comics, not the cartoon. So, while alike, they appear to me to be separate concepts. Geewunling 10:25, 25 October 2010 (EDT)
- Are the Find Your Fate books solely shown to take inspiration from the Marvel Comics? Yeah, they use Buster, but so did a lot of products, because his name was presented in the licensee materials. A better question is whether "Central City" is in the bible or the licensee materials. --ItsWalky 10:39, 25 October 2010 (EDT)
- I fail to see how if they "are identical enough in name and description to be alike" they can "be separate concepts" deserving separate pages. I see it more as a Jetfire/Skyfire thing. --Khajidha 10:46, 25 October 2010 (EDT)
- I don't see the point in merging them. Seems to me that you're trying to jump through hoops to justify a merge that has little benefit. —Interrobang 11:17, 25 October 2010 (EDT)
