Gabu (Prime)
- Gob is a Decepticon-allied Mini-Con from the Aligned continuity family.
Gabu (ガブ) has some very confusing modes. He appears to be the leader of the Dark Matter Calibur trio as he's the one who most often speaks on the team's behalf.
When powered up by Dark Energon, Gabu is known as Shadow Gabu (シャドウガブ Shadō Gabu) and forms part of the Dark Star Saber.

Gabu, Baru and Dai arrived in the studio to show off their Super Combo Weapon mode, the Dark Matter Calibur. They then promptly cut large gashes in the set (scaring Gul and Zori who had been hiding behind the door). O.P., B.2 and R.A. arrived in their Star Saber mode to try and stop the carnage, but one swipe of the Calibur forced them to separate. Adhesive Transformation!? Magnetic Tag Match Still combined, Gabu, Baru and Dai then fell asleep, giving O.P., B.2 and R.A. a chance to plan a different strategy. Exploration Transformation! Escape from the Underground Once they woke up, they began demanding an apology from the three Autobot Microns, who refused and called in reinforcements in the form of Pral, Jayz and Sais. These new arrivals combined into the Cosmotector Super Combo Weapon, which then powered up into a golden form and defeated the Dark Matter Calibur, causing Gabu, Baru and Dai to separate. Gabu later reappeared in his Shadow form and knocked out Shining R.A., who was busy bragging about his new Star Saber mode. Claiming to have been reborn thanks to the power of Dark Energon, the Shadow trio combined into the mighty Dark Star Saber, leading to a swordfight between them and R.A.'s Star Saber. After winning the first round, Shadow Gabu added that they had to win or else Lord Megatron would get mad at them. Prophetic Transformation! A Message from Beyond Time The battle continued for a long time with no end in sight until round 998, when the Dark Star Saber trio took major damage from Shining R.A.'s Rainbow Shield Attack but countered with their equally powerful Solar Ion Arrow Combo. As they prepared to settle it once and for all, both swords clashed using the Legendary Weapon Attack, which caused the Star Saber to glow in the form of a glowing orange axe while the Dark Matter Calibur took the shape of a purple flail. When these attacks ended up canceling each other out, R.A. thought it was about time for a break and offered Shadow Gabu some tea. Resurrection Transformation! The Reviving of Planet Cybertron
Gabu, now back in his regular form, was among the Arms Microns when they all got together to thank their audience for watching Arms Micron Theater. Ultimate Transformation! Fight! Transformers

- Gabu transforms from a robot horseshoe crab into a... twin-bladed thing, possibly a crossbow. He comes as an unassembled, unpainted "kit" on sprues, with customer-applied foil stickers for deco. He has multiple 5mm posts and holes as part of the Arms Micron play pattern, allowing him to be combined with other Mini-Cons to form bigger and more ridiculous weapons. However, he is specially designed to form the tip of the "Super Combo Weapon" Dark Matter Calibur with Baru and Dai.

- A transparent black redeco, called Shadow Gabu was packaged with Final Battle Megatron. As before, he combines with fellow pack-ins Shadow Baru and Shadow Dai, but this time into the Dark Energon Saber, a repaint of the Dark Matter Calibur.

- "Gabu" is derived from kabutogani, the Japanese word for horseshoe crabs.
- Gabu, Baru and Dai were available earlier than the rest of the AMW series, but only at the Next Generation World Hobby Fair Summer '12 in Fukuoka, Japan, on June 30 and July 1. Purchasing all three also granted the buyer a free Firebolt Clear Yellow Version.
