Talk:Rainmaker
I didn't see any discussion on any of the talk pages about this, so I'll bring it up here even though I'm sure there will be some gnashing of teeth.
But here's my argument. The Seekers from MTMTE 1 are now in toy form dubbed Rainmakers. Is there any reason we can't slot them in here somewhere?
I know, color schemes aren't consistent, but that's not really a big deal, especially where the G1 cartoon is concerned and Acid Storm has a different color layout every time anyway.
I also know it's been stated before that Sunstorm wasn't the yellow guy, but could we argue this is a case of Authorial Intent and New Fiction Trumps Old Fiction?
The thing is, these guys are Rainmakers according to the new toys, so we either say there's two different squads running around G1 with the name name or that these are the same guys (save for Hot Link who was apparently out that day.)
It could also be argued that they aren't the guys from Divide and Conquer, but The Rainmakers are simply a larger squad with six members. What does anyone think?Riddlerj 10:46, 5 September 2013 (EDT)

- But there hasn't been any new fiction that depicts Sunstorm as the same guy as the yellow "Divide and Conquer" Rainmaker. It's not too difficult to believe that the Rainmakers have both a yellow guy and a gold guy among their ranks. --Sabrblade 11:23, 5 September 2013 (EDT)
- We've had, IIRC, comment from Fun Pub people that the pack being named 'Rainmakers' wasn't ever the intent and it wound up inadvertently happening somehow. So the people who made the set never intended to make them part of this existing team, for what it's worth... Jalaguy 11:25, 5 September 2013 (EDT)
- The "Rainmakers" description on the toy bag and in the program was an error. They are not Rainmakers. --ItsWalky 11:32, 5 September 2013 (EDT)
- The package says what it says. The BotCon guys aren't the D&C guys, but they are now Rainmakers. You could even argue that this makes Rainmaker the term for non-Conehead Seekers, but I wouldn't take it that far. --Khajidha 11:36, 5 September 2013 (EDT)
