- Reed Richards is a character from the Marvel Comics portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Reed Richards is Mister Fantastic and the leader of the Fantastic Four, a group known to be operating on Earth in 1984. He probably is really smart.
Fiction
Marvel Generation 1 comics
Upon seeing the highly advanced technology possessed by the Autobots within their spaceship, the Ark, Spider-Man thought to himself that it would humble even the brilliant scientist Reed Richards, leader of the Fantastic Four. Prisoner of War!
Crossovers
Mr. Fantastic and Iron Man used alien technology to make giant transforming suits of armour for superheroes to ride in. For some insane reason, this includes the Hulk.
His counterpart, Doctor Doom, not content to let Richards have all the fun, made giant robots for supervillains.
Two of Richards' teammates — his brother-in-law, the Human Torch, and his best friend, the Thing — have been given mecha. Well, it's possible that the Invisible Woman has also been given a mech, but we just can't see it.
Notes
- Mister Fantastic was featured on the cover of Transformers #22, celebrating Marvel Comics' 25th anniversary.
- Astroscope's persona seems to be based on Mister Fantastic, to go with Sky Blast being the Human Torch and Payload being the Thing.
- Beau Weaver voiced Mr. Fantastic in the 1990's Fantastic Four Cartoon.
