Simanzi Massacre
- The Simanzi Massacre is a battle from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
The Simanzi Massacre was a watershed moment for the Cybertronian race - a titanic battle in the region known as Simanzi that raged for generations, annihilating half of the entire Cybertronian race and leaving the planet Cybertron almost entirely under Decepticon control. Little else is known about it except that something called The Crucible was at the centre of it.

The Simanzi Massacre occurred in the first cycle, 3178.
Five miles from the Crucible, Ultra Magnus and Rotorstorm found themselves wading through a muddy muck of some kind, trying to evade a troop of Cybernoughts. They were not entirely successful; one of the battle suits caught them unawares and blasted Ultra Magnus. The Gloaming
The Autobot 9th Battalion only survived thanks to Rotorstorm's timely intervention, but it took the involvement of Optimus Prime to prevent over a thousand Autobots (such as Pyro) and neutrals from falling into The Crucible. The Massacre was such an evil act on the behalf of the Decepticons that, years later, Rewind used it to show Tailgate the true nature of the Decepticons. Life After the Big Bang
