Visser Three's packaging

I own the Ultra size Visser Three toy, so if you'd like I could scan or transcribe the packaging for you. --Tigerpaw28 14:48, 5 July 2010 (EDT)

Minor correction: I own both Visser Three toys with packaging! So I can cover all your bases. Also own Mega Class Ax if that's helpful. --Tigerpaw28 14:56, 5 July 2010 (EDT)
I have the scorpion Ax, but that's the only one I do have the package for... Any of the other toys packaging blurbs would be super-helpful. Thanks a bunch. :) --Ascendron 14:58, 5 July 2010 (EDT)
Ok, here's Ultra Visser Three: I am Visser Three, leader of the Yeerk invasion. I am the only Yeerk in history to take control of an Andalite body, giving me the power to change into any creature I touch. I become a powerful Hork-Bajir--a seven foot alien with razor sharp blades at its ankles, knees, wrists and elbows and a stegosaurus-like tail. I can also change into a fire-breathing Inferno Beast.
And Mega Visser Three: I am Visser Three leader of the Yeerk invasion of Earth. My army's mission is to enslave every human being on this planet. I am the only Yeerk in history to infest an Andalite body and gain its powerful morphing capabilities. I can change into any creature or alien I touch. In fact, I have been all over the universe acquiring the genetic patterns of monsters like nothing ever seen on Earth! I may look like any normal Andalite on the outside but underneath lives a twisted terrifying creature with enough power to bring the entire universe under my control.

The Ultra class blurb repeats the I am Visser Three that's in large print while the Mega class doesn't. I'll get photos of the Vissers taken and uploaded either tonight or tomorrow. --Tigerpaw28 15:44, 5 July 2010 (EDT)

Mass changes

When making changes across dozens of articles, such as you're now doing with weapons, please use the "minor edit" checkbox.--RosicrucianTalk 16:38, 5 July 2010 (EDT)

Will do. --Ascendron 16:42, 5 July 2010 (EDT)

Weapons Notes

Can you see my notes on Category talk:Weapons? I think it might have gotten lost in the shuffle. --Jeysie 13:04, 6 July 2010 (EDT)

I didn't see it. I'll discuss it there. --Ascendron 13:07, 6 July 2010 (EDT)

New Pages

I agree that we need more weapon pages to add to the wiki and good call on the Zander Cannon reference, we also need pages for Mirage and Wheelie Animated etc. It would be great if we could collaborate together and create more pages --92.238.181.196 13:37, 14 July 2010 (EDT)

I'd love to help with those pages, but I do not own any material that would help me contribute any useful information for them at the moment. I basically just work with what I have on hand, which happens to be mostly Beast Era stuff. --Ascendron 13:51, 14 July 2010 (EDT)
I feel the need to point out that adding Zander Cannon to the 'cannons' category was MY stupid joke. - Cattleprod 14:11, 14 July 2010 (EDT)

Animorphs bios

Hey, you can find the Hartmans' tech spec scans here at tfarchive.com. --FortMax 17:32, 14 July 2010 (EDT)

Excellent, thanks a lot. :) --Ascendron 17:34, 14 July 2010 (EDT)
THey don't have the bios for Jake/Stingray and Taxxon, though. :(. Oh, and the Taco Bell toys weren't released under the Transformers banner, so they aren't covered by the wiki. --FortMax 17:38, 14 July 2010 (EDT)
Noted. I'll be removing them from the pages then. --Ascendron 17:42, 14 July 2010 (EDT)
I already took care of it. And thanks for handling the Animorphs pages. --FortMax 17:50, 14 July 2010 (EDT)
No problem. All I have to do now is get my hands on some more of the toys, take some shots, scan in some more boxart, and those pages will finally have been dealt with. :) --Ascendron 18:33, 14 July 2010 (EDT)
Good luck on Jake/Stingray and Taxxon/Alien. :P --FortMax 18:37, 14 July 2010 (EDT)

Trivia

Thanks for your help on the Trivia/Notes project, I can't handle doing too many of those in one go. But we have made real progress, ~500 pages have been fixed now. Only ~1000 to go! --Khajidha 11:44, 14 August 2010 (EDT)

Awesome! :) --Ascendron 11:33, 23 August 2010 (EDT)
And my home internet has been down for most of last week, I'll be getting back into this tonight. --Khajidha 12:12, 23 August 2010 (EDT)
I think all that's left are episode pages, but those already have a "Notes" header. I had made a proposal about episode pages, but it apparently went unseen (I've even forgotten where I made it). Oh, and theres a few incidental uses of the term in a sentence that probably shouldn't be changed. Thanks again. --Khajidha 22:01, 27 August 2010 (EDT)

Beast Wars comic images

Is there any chance you could consolidate some images? For example, File:BWAscendHalfshellPunched.jpg, File:BWAscendKillerpunchPunch.jpg, File:BWAscendDirgegunpunched.jpg, and File:BWAscendSaberbackPunched.jpg all come from the same panel. There's no point in cutting it into tiny pieces when you could just use the same image of the whole panel in all of the relevant articles. (Also, I'm pretty sure that page is by Guido, not Don, and wasn't in the original issue.) Mimi (talk) 16:11, 3 March 2014 (EST)

There is a point - focusing on the relevant character. - SanityOrMadness (talk) 16:23, 3 March 2014 (EST)
And removing any context or character interaction from the image in the meantime. We're not really served by a random image of only Killer Punch with nothing to tell us what's happening besides random limbs. We already have the main image to focus on the character and fiction sections are better served by images that actually present events in the fiction and not just the character. Mimi (talk) 16:36, 3 March 2014 (EST)
Eh, I think some of them of the character doing nothing and are on their own are okay, because they show the Cybertronian version of their body, and plus there's tons of other things like that on other pages of the wiki. Escargon (talk) 16:43, 3 March 2014 (EST)
The cutting up of images is on purpose, like SanityOrMadness said, to focus on the character at hand. Lots of these shots are cluttered crowd shots with lots of characters doing stuff. This way, users don't have to search Where's Waldo style for each character. As for removing the context, I think that should be remedied by the text write-up in each article. The images are here to complement the text of the article, not do its job on its own. And even then, most of the time there isn't much context... "The character did the thing" is basically all you're gonna get either way. I'll take your word for the artist though, fixing that right away. (I'm also personally not a big fan of posting complete panels, text and all. I did it a few times, but kept it to a minimum mostly because making it more "difficult" for readers to see the whole comic while giving good glimpses of the content encourages to buy the actual book. It does for me at least.) --Ascendron (talk) 14:08, 4 March 2014 (EST)

For contributing to the obscure and the unknown, among other things...
