Windblade and the others battle the Terrorcons, but there is more to Metroplex's mystery than there seems.
Synopsis
Deep within Metroplex, Windblade and the others are confronted by three of the Terrorcons, reflecting on how she nearly didn't become a Cityspeaker as she was "too centered" Windblade jumps into action and transforms- only to be intercepted by Cutthroat who claims that everyone knows that he can fly on Cybertron. Seeing Windblade in danger spurs Chromia into abandoning Blurr and the rest of the group in favor of defending the Cityspeaker, much to Blurr's chagrin. Seeing that the rest of the group needs to defend themselves, Blurr organizes the group into attacking the other two Terrorcons while Circuit is merely concerned in getting a good shot of the action. Thanks to the intervention of Tall Tankor, Windblade manages to take down her pursuer but is taken down by Starscream who arrests her for Crimes against Cybertron. As the rest of the group is arrested Chromia manages to slip away in the confusion...
Later in an undisclosed prison, Starscream introduces Blurr and the others to the "Badgeless"- a group of neutrals who act as enforcers for Starscream while remaining anonymous due to aggression from the public. Sending his enforcers away, Starscream threatens the rest of the group in an attempt to get them to confess that Windblade was attempting a coup. Meanwhile, Windblade herself is being tortured by Rattrap for information on the location of Chromia and the "real" reason she was sent to Cybertron, the torture is unsuccessful however and Starscream enters to persuade the Cityspeaker to confess instead. After Windblade attempts to kill Starscream the Leader of Cybertron reveals that he didn't set off the bomb and instead believes that Windblade is responsible for Metroplex's failures before ordering Rattrap to send her back to her cell.
Back in the cells Windblade thinks over the revelations from the torture session- until Chromia bursts in with Sky-Byte and Swindle in a daring escape attempt. While Blurr and the others remain behind to distract Starscream and his Guards, Chromia and Windblade race off to Metroplex's brain.
The Camiens are too late however, as a power transfer completes and a spacebridge activates with the Titan's body...

- The process of becoming a Cityspeaker is elaborated slightly here with the revelation that Windblade was originally considered too "centered" to speak for a Titan
- Windblade reveals that Camiens do not use Ranged Weapons as they view them as wasteful
- Starscream meanwhile reveals that Transformers in the IDW Continuity do not breathe and therefore cannot be choked
- The issue clears Starscream of suspicion from attempting to kill Windblade
- The issue also introduces the Badgeless- enforcers of Starscream's who remain anonymous for their own protection
