Central Park is a public park that occupies central Manhattan in New York City.

Hearing New York City was under Decepticon attack, Optimus Prime ordered the Autobots present to head out and Sparkplug Witwicky to tell the others to rendezvous with them in Central Park. However, when the second group neared the city, Laserbeak spotted them and reported this to Megatron, who prepared a trap.
The moment Optimus Prime's group entered Central Park, they were attacked by Soundwave, Rumble and Frenzy. During the battle, Megatron had Optimus Prime separated from the other Autobots and captured. He ordered the other Autobots to leave if they didn't want him to be killed, but not before showing off the first tower of what was going to be New Cybertron. City of Steel
