What do you mean, we have good images of Jolt now? We need somebody's main image to be from between somebody's legs!

Scattorshot spends a lot of time carefully planning out any battle tactics he and his teammates can use, and only expects as much time for careful planning and thoughtful action from the Decepticons. Unfortunately, true to their nature, they tend to specialize in surprise attacks or causing just plain random chaos more than anything else, which bugs the heck out of Scattorshot. In fact, nothing upsets him more than the chaos of unplanned battle.

However, he still can't help but get his kicks out of peppering the air around Divebomb, the latest Decepticon to interrupt his contemplative strategizing, with all the artillery at his disposal. And that's a LOT of artillery. Unfortunately for Scattorshot, he does not realize that the slow and clumsy Decepticon he's using for target practice is just a diversion for an even more duplicitous attack by another...

Fiction

Unite for the Universe

When Starscream, powered by Project: Unite attacked multiple human installations, Optimus Prime led an Autobot force to combat the crazed Decepticon. Scattorshot was among them, along with Elita-One and Hubcap. They fired on Starscream, only managing to anger him, but he was soon blasted by even larger firepower, from a Megatron seeking out Starscream's head for his disobedience. On the Road of Destruction

Megatron and Starscream battled it out without regard to their Autobot spectators. However, Optimus Prime knew that leaving them alone to their fate would still potentially leave the Unite technology in the wrong hands, meaning the Autobots had to separate the two and defeat both. While Optimus went after Megatron, he directed Scattorshot and the other Autobots at Starscream. They and Decepticons loyal to Megatron kept Starscream busy until Ratchet was able to arrive and separate Starscream from his Unite technology. With the defunct Starscream still in the care of Scattorshot and the Autobots, Megatron and his Decepticons fled. The Strongest Weapon

Oh, so THAT'S how you look without glasses.
  • Scattorshot (Scout, 2010)
    • Japanese ID number: RA-30
Scattorshot transforms into an anti-aircraft vehicle resembling a pick-up truck retrofitted for heavy combat, with armament such as roof-mounted cannons, armor plating and a treaded plow. Visually, ROTF Scattorshot only bears a passing resemblance to his inspiration, Cybertron Scattorshot, but it's there. In robot mode, the dual cannons become hand-held rifles. Amusingly, his chest sports a sculpted, downsized "faux-parts" version of the front end of his vehicle mode (which ends up on his feet). Yup, he's a completely original design, yet he needs faux-parts to recreate an "iconic" look that's not possible to achieve normally due to the way he transforms.
A running change variant saw Scattorshot's light gray plastic parts changed to a darker shade of gray (based on the stamped manufacturing date codes[1], the version with the darker gray plastic is the newer one), which set him even further apart from Cybertron Scattorshot.
This mold was also used to make Firetrap and Flak in the 2010 Transformers line.

Notes

  • For whatever reason, his robot mode chest sculpt appears to be based on Optimus Prime's chest.
