Alchemist Prime is a member of the Thirteen from the Aligned continuity family.

Alchemist Prime is one of the Thirteen, the original Primes, who were created by Primus to battle and defeat his nemesis, Unicron. While many of the other Primes dispersed across space and time after their great schism, Alchemist remained on Cybertron for a time with his fellow Prime Alpha Trion and together they guided the development of the earliest Cybertronian civilizations.

As one of the Thirteen, Alchemist Prime's chosen discipline was unknown, but he was a respected ally of Alpha Trion. After the Fallen murdered Solus Prime and Liege Maximo made his bid for power, the Thirteen began to separate. Alchemist Prime and Alpha Trion remained behind on Cybertron and orchestrated the beginnings of Cybertronian civilization. Once the process was well underway, Alchemist headed off into space to hunt down the renegade Liege Maximo. Alpha Trion never heard from him again, but believed in the core of his spark that Alchemist Prime had succeeded. Exiles
