Would this, then, be the first 'official' repurposing of a toy? --MissRatbat 07:53, 24 February 2011 (EST)

In the foreword to the IDW Classics Collection 4, Mark W. Bellomo gives the Nebulan's full name as "Galen Kord," a combination of his proper and erroneous names (as seen in the page's footnotes). Is this something we should bother with, or do we consider that this is the dude who spent all of Collection 3's foreword talking about how dumb it is that Ratbat is Decepticon leader? --ItsWalky (talk) 22:53, 20 October 2014 (EDT)

I think it sounds like claptrap, butt if we can fill the wiki with information hidden in the AAs in Cybertronian text, this seems like pretty fair game. It's information from a licensed product. (I hope this means Gort's full name is Gort Grot.) -LV (talk) 01:41, 21 October 2014 (EDT)
Well, if we wanted to get technical the stuff in the Almanacs is presented as in-universe information, whilst this (I believe?) is an out-of-universe foreword. I mean, if Pat Lee had written a foreword featuring one of his "hilarious" misconceptions about Transformers we wouldn't take said misconception as canonical fact, right? I recall "Galen Kord" seeing some fandom use in days of yore; I'd be more inclined to think Bellomo was just making a mistake, misremembering that usage, rather than trying to fix or consolidate stuff. - Chris McFeely (talk) 08:55, 21 October 2014 (EDT)
If we have to include a write-up for the Unicrons, then we can't skip this "because it's stupid". No matter how stupid. Gotta keep consistent with our pedantic minutia. (But yeah, I dunno if it should go at the top of the article or anything) --DrSpengler (talk) 09:03, 21 October 2014 (EDT)
