The Team is forced to participate in a reality show that captures extreme danger on camera.
Synopsis

Graham teaches the Bots about how maple syrup is extracted from trees, though Chase is confused by the fact that Cody likes maple syrup but not carrot soup. They take the extracted syrup to where Mayor Luskey is preparing to pour the first syrup of the harvest onto a giant stack of pancakes. Huxley Prescott is on hand, but disgruntled at having to cover such a mediocre event. He tries to interest Chief Burns in having the Bots participate in a reality show, but Burns once again turns him down. There's action to be had after all, as Luskey slips and falls onto the pancakes, requiring a quick save by Heatwave and Boulder, and giving Huxley something to film.
Back at the fire house, Blades is enthusiastic about the idea of appearing on television, more so than the other bots, but Cody believes there's little chance Huxley will get to do his show. Meanwhile, Huxley manages to sweet talk the mayor by showing him a theoretical title sequence featuring the Mayor prominently. Luskey agrees to a pilot episode.

Chief Burns breaks the news to the others, and they soon have a face-full of camera each. Burns quickly gives Huxley some ground rules, and instructs Cody to make sure the Bots are on their best robot behavior. As the cameras follow the team around, Huxley becomes frustrated at the lack of action. What appears to be the start of a promising car chase fizzles out after Don meekly pulls over to get a ticket, Heatwave rescues Mister Pettypaws from a runaway vacuum in scant moments, and Blades tows Mr Sharma's boat to shore safely, though Blades spends most of the time trying to think up a catchphrase. The Bots are confused by Huxley's disappointment at the way the rescues are going, as they value safety over excitement.
Huxley interrupts Graham's engineering homework with more questions, and Graham almost knocks over a jar of Squilsh. When Graham proves uninteresting, Huxley recalls his cameras for "recharging". Blades is perturbed by the idea that the cameras won't be ready if there's an emergency, and sure enough, there's a call from the zoo reporting that Nancy Morrison has fallen into the lion enclosure. The team soon has Nancy winched out, though the lion menaces Kade. The Bots jump in the way, and the lion moves in, only to start licking maple syrup off Boulder. Huxley berates the Chief for not telling him that the team was "planning" this rescue, and Chief responds that they don't plan rescues. An idea is sparked in Huxley's brain.

An emergency call soon arrives to say that the bank's been robbed, but when the team stops the armored car, it's just Jerry on his regular run. Unimpressed, the team starts trying to track the bogus emergency call. Elsewhere Huxley reviews his tapes and spots Graham's talk about the Squilsh's properties. Huxley soon sneaks into the fire station and swipes the Squilsh. Blades continues to try and think up catchphrases, despite Chief telling him he shouldn't be pursuing fame. Cody reports that he's traced the emergency call, and it came from Huxley Prescott. Huxley himself is at the dam, pouring the Squilsh into the water, but when he calls it in, Chief Burns tells him he's been rumbled. Discouraged by the lack of activity from the rescue team and the Squilsh, Prescott leaves the dam, unaware the Squilsh has started assimilating the water.

Prescott stops sometime later at some traffic lights, only for Edgar Prewett's truck to speed past and crash. As the fire begins to spread to the trees, Huxley rings the emergency services, and is completely disregarded by Kade who believes it's another false alarm. Luckily Chief Burns has Cody double-check, and the rescue team soon springs into action. Prescott continues to try and record everything, and as his cameras get in the way, Chief Burns tells him to stop filming. The firefighting soon gets into trouble as Heatwave runs dry, and Blades finds the dam full of Squilsh. With no water around, Cody hits on the idea of using maple syrup. While Blades heads to the sea to fill his scoop claw there, the other Bots head for the maple grove. The fire spreads towards Mayor Luskey's house, and Huxley tries to make himself a TV hero with a fire extinguisher, only for the extinguisher to run out long before the fire is under control. Luckily the team manages to use a combination of maple syrup and sea water to put the fire out.
Later on Blades laments that he's gone off television, but Cody cheers him up by showing him a live feed of Chief Burns making Huxley clean the maple syrup off Luskey's house.

Notes
Animation and technical errors
Continuity errors
- Some of the footage in Huxley's title sequence is from scenes where the Bots are acting like themselves, and even from episodes in which Prescott was not present.
Continuity notes
- Huxley's title sequence features shots from a number of season 1 episodes:
- Heatwave running with a telephone pole from "You've Been Squilshed".
- Chase catching a tank of dangerous chemicals from "The Alien Invasion of Griffin Rock".
- Blades hitting the Squilsh with a sculpture, from "You've Been Squilshed".
- Boulder catching the runaway solar car from "The Other Doctor".
- Graham's homework is presumably from Gremsky Technical Institute. It and the Squilsh were first established in "You've Been Squilshed".
- Griffin Rock Zoo and its lion first appeared in "Walk on the Wild Side".
- Heatwave uses his energize weapon to put out fire with maple syrup.
