Talk:Autobot Master Warrior
From MediaWiki
I've seen both "Teen" and "Warrior" as well, and the latter term gets you more Google hits, but "Teen" was the term used on TFpulp, and Hydra being the J-TF expert that he is, I figured that was the safer bet. - Chris McFeely 23:58, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- In all honesty, the last part of that only leaves me MORE inclined to go with "warrior". The foul taste of "Thrustol" still lingers. --M Sipher 00:08, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well, it's not like "teen" and "warrior" are the same word in Japanese, are they? Seriously, I don't know. But I wouldn't have thought so. Perhaps both are used, or something. "Teen" seems a better fit, just for the characters themselves, though, being young in-trainers. "Warriors" is so... non-specific. - Chris McFeely 00:17, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- I broke out my copy of Generations to look it up. They're called the "Headmaster Senshi". "Senshi" means "warrior" and most certainly not "Teeanger". "Teeanger" in Japanese is "tii-ne-i-jyaa", while "teeange" as an adjective is "juudai no". I dunno where Hydra came up with "Headmaster Teens" but I know from experience that a lot of his reviews and viewpoints on TFPulp were assumption and speculation and not concrete fact (like him saying that Galvatron BWII was elected by the Tripredacus Council with nothing but theory to back it up).
Going by the name given to them in Generations, I'd say that "Headmaster Warriors" is the most accurate, even if it totally sucks. --DrSpengler 00:33, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
