- Rodimus is an Autobot from the Aligned continuity family.
Rodimus is an Autobot serving under Optimus Prime in the Great War. Young and impetuous, he's always waiting with enthusiasm and confidence for his next mission (so long as he isn't paired with Kup again). Perhaps he's got something to prove, but any leadership qualities he might possess have yet to show themselves.
Sometimes he's called Hot Shot.

Regeneration One
When Hot Rod journeyed to the centre of Cybertron with the Dinobots, he had a multiversal out-of-body experience in the Primus chamber and saw many different versions of himself, including War for Cybertron Hot Shot. Destiny, Part Three Later Hot Rod, now Rodimus Prime, infiltrated Zero Space to confront the Dark Matrix creature but it summoned three versions of Optimus Prime to defend itself. Rodimus likewise sent ripples throughout the universe, calling forth the various versions of himself to battle the Dark Matrix creature, loosening its control over Optimus and allowing Rodimus to seal the multiversal breach with the Sword of Primus. Somehow Hot Shot became corrupted by Dark Energon. Whipped into an uncontrollable frenzy, he drove around atop a dam which the Autobots had rigged for demolition so that the Decepticons wouldn't be able to make use of it. A team of Autobots spotted him and went to help, but he sped around, firing on them. After they defeated him, he calmed down, shrugging off the effects of the Dark Energon and returning to his regular self. Transformers: War for Cybertron
