Page format

Not to dismiss the work put in here, but.... I'm not sure this is the right formula for this page. The intro paragraph just kind of starts in the middle. The Overview seems waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long - 2-3 paragraphs should be enough to cover the highlights. And I'd almost rather we stuck with the same kind of list-with-summary format that we use on the "Timelines" page. I don't recall us having precedent for this kind of page, so there's room for discussion before I stomp in and start changing stuff. -- Repowers 15:18, 4 August 2009 (EDT)

Well, the intro I pretty much just copy and pasted and tweaked slightly from the old section on the franchise page, so it doesn't matter to me if it gets rewritten.
As for the rest of it... The Timelines fiction article works the way it does because the stories published under that particular franchise aren't necessarily related to each other.
The thing with the SG stuff though, is that it's really more like the Marvel Comics or the various IDW miniseries. As such, I tried to pattern it after those types of pages, with the Overview and Creative Team sections at the least. I think the list format is just too different, and doesn't quite convey properly that most of the stories are all one continuous storyline.
I'm all for cutting down the Overview too, though... I figured it was probably better to put in the work and trim it down, rather than start with something not enough detail that nobody wants to put in the time to expand. Plus, being brief isn't really my strong point. :> --Jeysie 15:46, 4 August 2009 (EDT)

i'm not a member of transformersclub.com so i can't log in. Is that the only reason i'm getting an error message, or does someone need to update (or delete) this link/reference?
