The Destructons are a group of aliens from the Transformers in 3-D portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
The Reapers only wish they were as cool as these guys.

The Destructons are a group of powerful organic/metallic beings who seemingly exist only to destroy.

The Destructons almost destroyed the entire galaxy long ago, but were eventually defeated and imprisoned within a dimensional barrier by the Logicons. Eons later, they were unleashed upon the cosmos once again by a hapless Andegean scientist, and came into conflict with the Autobots and Decepticons alike. Can an alliance between the two warring factions withstand the onslaught? The world may never know... The War Against the Destructons, Chapter 1 of 3 (Probably yes, though, all things considered.)

Blackthorne Publishing went bankrupt, leaving the storyline uncompleted.

Beast Wars: Uprising

The Destructons were mechanical beings freed from their slavery by organic races by Lord Imperious Delirious. Alone Together: Delirious Skulking on the planet LGC-8803, the Destructons shot down a passing prison ship, hoping to salvage technology and/or troops. What they got was Rampage and Trans-Mutate. Alone Together: Kindred Though Lord Imperious Delirious wined and dined the pair in attempt to persuade him to join his cause, Trans-Mutate saw through him and he instead unleashed the Delirious Fire on them. Alone Together: Delirious They managed to break free, defeating Bruton and Medusa into the bargain. Delirious took his Destructons and left the planet, though with a navicomp which he intended to make use of for its reformatting protocols. Alone Together: Clarity
