The Arclight traveled to Earth to refuel, as the Autobots had stock piled vast amounts of energon during the war on cybertron on Earth. However the Autobots were ambushed by the Decepticons, the Leviathan destroyed the Arclight. With the ship torn apart, its surviving crew members took to the escape pods and crashed into the planet. The debris of the Arclight showered over the North America continent. Energon from the ship's exploding fuel cells infused with meteriods causing Meteor Storms Transformers Universe
