• Viper (Legends class, 2015)

Part of wave 3 of Combiner Wars Legends class, Viper is a retool of Powerglide . He's a homage to the Cobra Rattler from the G.I. Joe franchise, including two Cobra insignias (with integrated Decepticon insignia, no less), and a new face styled after the flight mask of Rattler pilot Wild Weasel. He can turn into a weapon for bigger Transformers figures.

Notes

• Viper was first introduced in Battle Tactics, and is the only new character from the game. Given the fact that every character design in this game is based on an existing toy, it was just a matter of time for Viper's figure to be revealed.
• When introduced at Toy Fair 2015, Viper was said to be a "generic" style Transformer – not technically a drone, but a design a lot of different, independently-sentient guys share, like the Omnicons in the Energon cartoon. This characterization is intended to facilitate fans army-building Viper, recalling the Cobra Viper that is his namesake.
