Timothy James Curry (born April 19, 1946) is a British actor and singer, best known for his film roles in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Clue, Home Alone 2, It, and Congo. Okay, probably not Congo. In the realm of theatre, he originated the roles of Dr. Frank N. Furter in The Rocky Horror Show, Mozart in Amadeus, and King Arthur in the earlier runs of Spamalot. He has also appeared on innumerable cartoons playing invariably sinister British guys, such as taking over the role of Palpatine in The Clone Wars, and the decidedly non-sinister yet still British naturalist Nigel Thornberry on The Wild Thornberrys.

Trivia

  • Curry suffered a major stroke in July 2012, but is said to be recovering just fine. The extensive amount of physical therapy he has required since his stroke is likely the reason he's been unable to reprise his role as Morocco, among other roles.
