Specifics: Toy.
Skywarp is a Maximal from the Beast Wars II portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Also not a girl.

Skywarp (スカイワープ Sukaiwāpu) is a master of aerial combat who was dispatched from Cybertron to provide Lio Convoy with backup on Gaea. He is very serious but knows when to lighten up. Skywarp has great consideration for young Maximal warriors and does his best to treat them with respect (though he occasionally has trouble with Lio Junior). He is a teacher at heart who tries to share his wisdom and skill with all who are willing to learn from it.

He can combine with Lio Junior and Santon to form Magnaboss.

Toys

Beast Wars

  • Skywarp (Deluxe, 1997)
    • Japanese ID number: C-27
    • Accessories: 2 "Sky Missiles", 2 "Wingaliber" swords
Skywarp is a slight repaint of the Beast Wars incarnation of Generation 1 Silverbolt, transforming into a bald eagle. The primary difference between the two toys is Skywarp's silver helmet and pink eyes over black. Each of his wings contains a spring-loaded "Sky Missile" missile launcher and a hidden "Wingaliber" (a portmanteau of "wing" and "caliber") feather-sword. He also forms the headdress, chest-armor and back to Magnaboss.

  • Magnaboss (Ultra, 1997)
    • Japanese ID number: C-27
    • Accessories: 2 "Sky Missiles", 2 "Wingaliber" swords
Skywarp was also available in an Ultra-class giftset with his fellow combiners Lio Junior and Santon. There are no notable differences between the individual and giftset versions of the toys proper... though the giftset does not contain the bio/Tech Spec cards for the individuals, only for the combined mode.

Notes

"Come on, vogue!"
  • While early artwork presented in TV Magazine depicted Skywarp as pretty damn feminine-looking (or at least pretty damn bishōnen-looking, it's hard to tell the two apart sometimes even when the subject is a human), Skywarp was most certainly male in the Beast Wars II TV series. Why the change was made is uncertain; possibly it had to do with toy sales much in the way that Airazor was turned male for the Japanese dub of Beast Wars.
