Clampdown is a crab-like Decepticon. He transforms into a subcompact cat with wood paneling on the sides.

Clampdown was responsible for Thunderhoof being arrested on Cybertron. Thanks to his trying to blackmail a member of the Autobot High Council, Clampdown himself was also imprisoned on the ship Alchemor and eventually escaped when the ship crashed on Earth. He concealed himself in the storm drains under Crown City, frightening off anyone who got near. After Bumblebee's team attempted to arrest him, he managed to escape and instead encountered Steeljaw who invited him to join a group. Unfortunately Thunderhoof was already a member of the group, and Clampdown fled when the other Decepticon threaten him. Both the Autobots and Decepticon found him hiding in a garbage tip, and he and the rest of Steeljaw's gang were captured after Thunderhoof accidentally rendered both himself and Clampdown unconscious. Steeljaw was later able to free them all, and Clampdown rejoined the gang. Out of Focus
