Talk:Air Raid (G1)
From MediaWiki
So is it of any consequence that Japanese G2 Air Raid is a seperate character named "Aero Raid"? It's worthy of only a note and not a seperate article, right? --DrSpengler 03:37, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- I have to say, I'm a little iffy on declaring Jetfire and Aero Raid are new guys just because their names changed. Transformers names change a lot. Do they have the same tech spec numbers and everything? I know there's no G1 toy for Jet/skyfire, but it ought to be easy to determine if G1 and G2 Air Raid have the same stats, function, et cetera in Japan. -LV 00:46, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- Well, in the Japanese G2 storypages, it is stated that all 3 Autobot Cyberjets are former Decepticons who switched sides. That works fine for Jetfire, but it doesn't gel with what we know about Strafe and Air Raid.--DrSpengler 00:57, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- That's a really interesting way of avoiding having to change Jetfire's tail deco. In any case, the point is conceded. (I'm still curious how the G1 and G2 techs for Air Raid match up, though.) -LV 02:58, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- And does anybody know definitively if it's "Aero Raid" or "Aeroraid"? The stuff here has it as two separate words, but the listing at TFA has it as one word. --Ducktimus 23:58, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- Since the name has only ever been presented in katakana, no, there's no real way to be certain if it's two seperate words or one word. Either way is fine; it doesn't really matter. --DrSpengler 00:57, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- I'd've thought if he's a different character, he's a different character, and gets his own entry. --Ratbat 02:14, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- In the US he's Air Raid, the former aerialbot. In Japan he's Aeroraid, the former Decepticon.
- It's clear he is the original air raid from his US spec- and it's clear he's a new character from his japanese story. Them havign the same/similar names is annoying- but there it lies. -Derik 02:27, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- Well, if Blood and Turtlar are separate characters... --M Sipher 02:51, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
