Platinum Games (プラチナゲームズ株式会社 Purachina Gēmuzu Kabushiki Gaisha) is an independent video game developer founded in 2006 by ex-employees of Capcom's defunct Clover Studios and based in Osaka, Japan. Known for their expertise in the hack & slash genre, games developed by the company include Sega's Bayonetta & Jack Cayman series and Vanquish, Nintendo's The Wonderful 101 and Star Fox Zero, and the grandaddy of all, Konami's Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Recently they have also developed a few licensed games for Activision, such as The Legend of Korra and - relevant to this wiki - Transformers: Devastation.
