Mad is a Unicron-allied Mini-Con from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Mad is a member of the Air Assault Mini-Con Team, and a personal attendant to Nemesis Prime.

He's probably not too cheerful.

Mad is a redeco of the Air Defense Mini-Con Team member Jetstorm, transforming into a Concorde Super Sonic Transport jet plane. He also forms the lower-blade to the Dark Saber sword, which can be held by any other Transformer that has 5mm fist-holes. This toy is largely identical to the Hasbro "Air Assault" version of Jetstorm, but uses transparent plastic with a hint of purple instead of the Hasbro version's opaque off-white. He came with his partners Jack and Shade.

This mold was also retooled to make Energon Scattor, Quantum, and Cybertron Thrust.

The Air Assult Mini-Cons were also made available in a multi-pack with the Takara release of Wheeljack and Wind Sheer.
