In this nightmarish universe, Megazarak took control of the Predacon/Decepticon forces after the defeat of Megatron at the hands of Omega Prime. On the eve of the critical confrontation between Optimus Prime and Megazarak's forces, several on both sides were abducted by Unicron to fight in the Universe War: Fireflight, Side Burn, Ironhide, Drydock, Ratchet, Swerve, Prowl, Megabolt, Ruination, and Devastator. Despite the loss of some Decepticons, the fight proved to be the Autobots' doom, Megazarak slaughtering them. Defensor subsequently became the Matrix-bearer. Ask Vector Prime
