Abel

Abel is an Autobot from The Headmasters cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Named after the first murder victim. Subtle.

One of several small robots from planet Master, Abel (アベル Aberu) is a good friend to Chromedome.

Abel was one of a group of diminutive refugee Autobots that left Cybertron four million years ago, along with his friends Chromedome and Jack. Miraculous Warriors, Targetmasters (Part 2) Eventually, they crashed on the inhospitable world of Master, but were eventually able to establish a civilization there. The Four-Million-Year-Old Veil of Mystery When the ninja Decepticon Sixshot attacked a mining operation, Abel led a militia (including Foo) that attempted to get rid of him, but the villain used his multiplication powers to kill them all. Chromedome ran to his fallen friend and cradled Abel's dead body in his arms—this was the first time he felt true anger towards those who do evil. Chromedome vowed revenge against Sixshot for his friend's death. Terror! The Six Shadows

When Ultra Magnus later also met his demise at the hands of Sixshot, Chromedome was instantly reminded of Abel's death. Ultra Magnus Dies!! He would recall it again when Jack died. Miraculous Warriors, Targetmasters (Part 2)

In a dream, Brainstorm told Rattrap the story about how he and other diminutive Autobots, including Abel, left Cybertron and settled on Master. LG09 Brainstorm Fortress would also recall how he rallied Abel and others to himself and convinced them to abandon Cybertron. LG31 Fortress Maximus

Sixshot, having turned to the side of good, regretted his murder of Abel and Jack and was reminded of it by Chromedome when he, Daniel, and Star Saber attempted to hide out in the Headmaster's home in the Legends World. After faking his death, Sixshot sought a way to resurrect the two using the Legends World's Shinchōkon. LG50 Sixshot

  • Abel's name is derived from the biblical [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Abel (given name)|{{#if:Abel|Abel|Abel (given name)}}]], who according to the mythology was the first murder victim. It is one of the very few Transformer names of Hebrew origin and is theorized to mean either "mist", symbolizing transience, or "son".
