Abyss

Abyss is a small town of only 47 inhabitants located in the wilderness of the Yukon. That is, it either once was a town or it has always been cleverly disguised as one, as the buildings actually serve to conceal the hideout of Snow Cat, a lone Decepticon with big plans.

[edit]Snow Cat had made Abyss his base of operations. In service of Alpha Quintesson and Scorponok, he was on a one man-assignment to sabotage the Autobots' Base Unit 1 so that the energy it'd produce would go to Unicron instead of the shields. Not a supporter of Scorponok's command of the Decepticons, Snow Cat also used the base to make preparations for Megatron's much anticipated return.
After their falling out with Hot Shot, the Omnicons picked up the energy readings transmitted by Snow Cat's activities, which they followed to the town of Abyss. The place seemed deserted at first, but then panels on the sides of the street opened to reveal a line of satellite dish-looking devices. Skyblast opened attack preventively, but this backfired because the dishes were part of an "echo zone" network that prevented the usage of Energon-based weaponry by anyone other than Snow Cat. Once the system had taken out the Omnicons, Snow Cat collected them, brought them inside and hooked them up to spark rewriters with the intention of getting himself some new soldiers to welcome Megatron with when he'd reclaim his rightful place as leader of the Decepticons.
However, the Omnicon collective consciousness had an hallucination of Over-Run telling them what's what and this allowed them to escape the spark rewriters. Snow Cat was just cleaning up outside when they burst out, which didn't bother him very much because they still could not fight back due to the echo zone. Rather than getting knocked out again, the Omnicons fled Abyss to rework their strategy, Snow Cat on their tail. Omni-Potent
