At the height of his power, Alexander weeped when it was theorized multiple worlds existed and he had failed to conquer even Earth. The Greek writer Plutarch would later write about Alexander and his existential crisis.

Centuries later, Joe Colton would read Plutarch's writings about Alexander in a fortune cookie. Garrison Kreiger would also become familiar with the writings.

When the two were preparing for their assault on Cybertron, Colton referenced Plutarch's writings before asking Kreiger about his obsession with the Talisman. Revealing that he saw the Talisman as a stepping stone to galactic conquest, Kreiger said that, like Alexander, he too shed tears... but over the prospect of how many worlds there were left to conquer.
