Ames is a mercenary who knows Robert Epps. He has a standoff-ish loner vibe to him, and usually hangs out away from the rest of the pack.

Dark of the Moon novel

[edit]

When Epps rang around the people he knew to find those willing to venture into Decepticon-occupied Chicago with him, Ames was one of the few who answered. When they actually got to the edge of Chicago, the mercs had second thoughts, but Sam Witwicky was determined to go in, and the Autobots turned up to help, so they ended up going in anyway. After Sam rescued his girlfriend Carly, Ames and the mercenaries went up into the damaged Galileo Building to try and use their one missile to take out the control pillar. Unfortunately they were spotted, and when Epps used a grenade to take out a Decepticon, the building lurched. Ames, along with a number of office supplies, plunged out of a window, attracting the attention of Shockwave. Dark of the Moon (novel)

Notes

[edit]
  • In the film, the tumble out of the building window is taken by Stone, who turns up safe and sound again later. No such luck for Ames.
