In Battle Station mode, Metroplex could deploy the most powerful of his weapons: two front-mounted anti-matter projectors which fired minute packets of anti-matter that destroyed everything they hit. Metroplex's Universe profile

During their first battle, Metroplex had his transformation cog ripped out by Trypticon. He fought back with a powerful antimatter projector beam that destroyed Trypticon and his commander, Galvatron, but the recoil was so great that Metroplex himself was left heavily damaged. When Trypticon advanced on Metroplex's location in Akihabara, the Autobots were forced to buy time until they could supply Metroplex with Fortress Maximus's transformation cog. Notes

[edit]
  • Although Metroplex's packaging bio mentions his anti-matter projectors, his instructions are maddeningly vague as to which of his many weapons are which, generically labelling them as "accessory cannons".
  • Metroplex's Marvel Universe profile describes his anti-matter projectors in more detail which helps to identify them: they have a "front-mounted" position in Battle Station mode; they fire "packets of anti-matter"; and they are "the most powerful of all his weapons". Given that they were the largest weapons included with Metroplex's toy, they had a missile-firing gimmick, and that they went on the front of his Battle Station mode, it seems safe to identify Metroplex's big red guns as anti-matter projectors.
  • Dreamwave's More than Meets the Eye profile for Metroplex does not mention his anti-matter projectors, despite them being prominently featured in his profile art.
  • Meanwhile, on the Japanese side of things, both "Metrowars" and the Legends comic have instead opted to interpret the little circle in the center of Metroplex's robot mode chest as his (one and only) anti-matter projector.
