Asgard

Thor should feel right at home here.

A creation of Doctor Anna Baranova, the Asgard is a large [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}space elevator|{{#if:||space elevator}}]], a small space station launched into orbit using a massive laser. Sharing many design similarities with the Midgard, the Asgard has four pods, each assigned a specific function: greenhouse, laboratory, living quarters, and storage. Designed for long missions in space, it remains tethered to Earth, orbiting at a height of a hundred and forty miles.

The Asgard launch site was the Griffin Rock airport. The launch almost went wrong moments from lift off when one of Huxley Prescott's hover cameras interfered with the lasers, threatening an overload. The station was saved by the swift work of the Rescue Bots, and went on to successfully launch. Once it had reached target altitude, the crew — Doc Greene and Graham Burns — were about to enjoy a meal when the station was struck by a rogue asteroid. With the starboard pod completely gone, the station began losing oxygen rapidly, and the two crewmen took shelter in the greenhouse pod, though it had a cracked window. Using their own ship, the Sigma, the Rescue Bots were able to reach the Asgard in time, with Heatwave spacewalking to the stricken ship and rescuing Doc Greene and Graham. Though he was sucked out of the broken greenhouse window, Heatwave made it back to the Sigma, and the Rescue Bots used their ship to tow the Asgard back to Earth, where they set it down on a beach. The Asgard was launched again when Doc Greene required a zero gravity environment to complete his Binary Diagnostic Link. His daughter and most of the rescue team came along as well, and got to enjoy the zero G while he installed the device's crystal. A passing nebula contaminated the space elevator's air filtration system, causing the machine to swap everyone's minds around. The Asgard was later utilized to reverse the mind swap, by recreating the conditions of the original accident. Switcheroo

The Rescue Bots undertook a mission to repair the Asgard, leaving their trainees behind due to the risks the mission posed. Unfortunately, the team didn't account for the station beginning to rotate again when the job was finished, and they were flung loose and left floating in space. Heatwave took remote control of the Sigma and sent it back to Earth to retrieve the trainees, who piloted it back to the Asgard and recovered their stranded teachers. Space Case The Asgard' was in need of repairs, which Heatwave was going to carry out until Medix took the Sigma so he could attempt the repairs himself in an attempt to impress Perceptor. This didn't go well, resulting in the other recruits having to rescue Medix. Medix Gets Schooled
