Bluestreak is an Autobot from the movie continuity family (via the Speed Stars line).
Got the trademark back juuuuust a bit too late to help this guy.

Bluestreak used to live up to his name by talking up a blue streak about anything that entered his mind, important or not. But a few million years of war can change a bot. Now, Bluestreak tends to keep it on "mute", and the blue streaks come from the blurring of his battle-blades.

Not that he needs to talk a good game, as he's one tough combatant even in his vehicular mode.

A Transformer who doesn't say a word? He'll stand out a mile in the live-action films, eh!
  • Bluestreak (Mini Vehicle, 2010)
    • Series: Road Assault Series
    • Number: 02 of 04
Part of the second wave of individually-carded Speed Stars mini vehicles, Bluestreak is a redeco of Robot Powered Machines Sideswipe; a small die-cast car that looks like a cross between a Corvette Stingray and an Aston Martin, with through-axle construction wheels for speedy racing on flat surfaces. The toy "transforms" by standing it on its rear bumper, revealing a relief of the robot mode on the underside. Since the toy is a redeco and not a retooling, the raised "SIDESWIPE" nameplate is still there under the robot image, though unpainted.
The package photography shows some differences from the final version, the most obvious being the "BLUESTREAK" tampograph that does not exist on the actual toy. But the photos also show him with silver hubcaps inside the gold rims (the toy has gold rims, but unpainted black hubcaps) and a considerably bigger Autobot symbol on his hood.
During the period between December 26 2010 and January 31 2011, Hasbro ran their "Supercharge Your Holidays" promotion: for every $20 spent on Hasbro-branded product, customers could receive a free, random product from a list provided by Hasbro. Among the items on the list were "Transformers Combiners and Speed Star Mini-Vehicle" and "Transformers Activator and Speed Star Mini-Vehicle." According to this discussion thread on Allspark.com, Speed Stars Road Assault Bluestreak was one of the figures distributed.

Notes

[edit]
  • As is normal in the Speed Stars line, there is no real indication in the bio as to what continuity Bluestreak is a part of. However, most of the characters in the toyline hail from the live-action film series, and Bluestreak's art is a recolor of the Revenge of the Fallen character Sideswipe, soooo...
